2007 Microsoft Office Primary Interop Assemblies - "Fatal error during installation. "
Question:
The Self-Extracting installer for MindManager and Office 2007 fails with a fatal error relating to Microsoft Office Primary Interop Assemblies.
Answer:
Some files required by the Microsoft Office Primary Interop Assemblies installer aren't present on your system. A manual install may resolve the issue, failing that a MS Office repair might be required.
Details:
The Office 2007 Primary Interop Assemblies (PIAs) can be installed manually. Also, you may not need them if you choose ".net programmability support" during your Office installation.
I would suggest leaving PIAs for now and instead ensure the Microsoft Visual Studio 2005 Tools for Office Second Edition runtime is installed via the following link, then install TPAssist 2007 using the simple installer, with no Office pre-checks.
