TPAssist 2007 for Mindjet® MindManager®
Brief Description
TPAssist 2007, an integrated solution using Mindjet® MindManager® and Microsoft® Office, leverages the power of mind maps to give you a flexible and effective productivity management tool.
TPAssist 2007 for Mindjet® MindManager® includes two add-ins, one for MindManager® and one for Outlook®. These add-ins install menu buttons into MindManager® and Outlook® to make use if TPAssist 2007 capabilities.

There are three installers provided for TPAssist 2007. The installers are designed
to check for and then install the required integration components. Choosing
the wrong installer may prevent TPAssist 2007 from installing correctly.
The "Simple Installer" should be used for updates as it is a smaller file and the
integration checks will no longer be required.
System Requirements
- Mindjet® MindManager® 8, Mindjet® MindManager® Pro 7, or Mindjet® MindManager® Pro 6
AND if you wish to take advantage of TPAssist 2007's Microsoft® Office integration:
- Microsoft® Office Standard (with Outlook & Excel), versions 2003 or 2007
Instructions
1. Ensure the latest version of MindManager is installed (either version 6, 7 or 8).

2. Pick the installer appropriate to your machine configuration.
The TPAssist2007
installers have been pre-configured with the necessary components to enable integration
with MindManager and Office. The installers will check your software configuration
and install the component if necessary.
3. Obtain local administrator rights.
In order to facilitate
security features in Outlook, TPAssist2007 setup will register the appropriate DLLs
with the Global Assembly Cache (GAC). This requires local Administrator privileges. In Microsoft VISTA, if you are using User Access Control, just running SETUP.EXE or
the MSI will fail with an error code. Resolve this by downloading the Self Extracting
EXE to your Desktop. Then find the download, Right-Click on it and choose “Run as
Administrator”
4. Download
the required installer and
follow the onscreen instructions.
Further Information
TPAssist has been designed to work with Mindjet® MindManager® and Microsoft® Outlook®.
In addition, the “Publishing” feature makes use of Microsoft® Excel®. TPAssist has
been built around MindManager version 6, version 7 and version 8. Whilst the current release
is built using Outlook® 2003 it is compatible with later versions of Outlook (i.e.
Microsoft Outlook® 2007).
TPAssist2007 requires .NET 2.0. MindManager version
7, Microsoft® Office 2007 and the TPAssist Installer will automatically download
and install .NET 2.0 if it is missing.
TPAssist 2007 places
add-in components with-in Outlook. Unfortunately these components can't be
replaced and must be uninstalled cleanly before updates can be applied. To UNINSTALL
TPAssist, Open the Control Panel, open Add/Remove Programs (or Programs
and Features in Windows Vista®), Find TPAssist 2007 and choose to Uninstall it .
The Outlook integration requires Office “Primary interop assembly” (PIAs).Outlook
integration also required Microsoft
Visual Studio 2005 Tools for Office Second Edition Runtime (VSTO 2005 SE) (x86). These will be installed automatically
by the two Microsoft Office specific installers if not found.
